The draft project is aimed at creating a new, unique and memorable image of Golyanovo District. Its main purpose was to bring a unique spirit to each microdistrict without sacrificing the holistic image of the city.
The Golyanovo area planning project was developed; later, as part of the Renovation: visual identity competition, in collaboration with Petitdidierprioux Architectes, a general concept of façade solution typologies for Lots 23 and 12 was proposed. http://hintarch.com/lot23
Countless possible combinations of these three characteristics should help the city become more diverse. At the same time, the logic of applying each particular characteristic will depend on the context of the building's location. This will provide for a unique atmosphere at each particular microdistrict. Ten façade solution typologies have been developed for buildings in the Golyanovo district.
The main idea underlying the project is a mosaic. Standardization is proposed to give way to diversity, while the urban environment’s integrity is to be maintained. A step away from monumentality towards a scale more similar to man is suggested.
The purpose of the project was to create a system that would, somewhat paradoxically, combine a variety of solutions, versatility, complexity and cost-effectiveness. Three fundamental characteristics were proposed:
- façade material perforation type;
- material itself;
- color.
